BIO
Kat Hastings is a multimedia artist living in Worcester, MA. Her work has been featured in several juried, group, and solo exhibitions throughout Central Massachusetts.
In February 2025, her mixed media piece, Creation: The Balance Between Light and Dark, was awarded Best in Show at the Worcester Art Museum's Art in Dialogue exhibition and is prominently displayed on the cover of their 2025 Summer Catalog. Her literary work has been recognized in A Certain Slant: Literary Arts Journal at Mount Wachusett Community College, along with her mixed media drawing that was featured on the front cover of the Spring 2025 issue. Her art was also on the back cover design of the same journal in Spring 2023.
In 2024, she held a solo exhibition at the Boylston Public Library in Boylston, Massachusetts, and will be returning in October 2025 for an exhibit of her current work. In May 2023, she received a study abroad scholarship for a trip to Iceland with Mount Wachusett Community College students and faculty. Later that year, she was a guest speaker for the MWCC Board, discussing the impact of her study abroad experience on her art and education.
Ms. Hastings is actively engaged with the Burncoat Center for Arts and Wellness in Worcester, MA, as an art instructor and fundraiser. She is currently pursuing a degree in Fine Art at Mount Wachusett Community College, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2026. She plans to continue her education and pursue an M.F.A. studio art degree in illustration.
Kat Hastings is often seen drawing in public spaces, a favored pastime that reflects her deep passion for art and community engagement.
